Welcome to my letter! I am really excited for this exchange (Viva la Rare Fandoms) and thrilled to see what you come up with! I'm not very good at writing these letters (or coming up with prompts as you will notice, and I especially tend to ramble so please bear with me) but I'm super excited for anything and everything you come up with, because more fanworks are always awesome!

These details are just here to give you some ideas if you need them, so please feel free to use your own ideas if none of these rambles inspire anything! I just want to see more fanworks for my fave fandoms! ♥

Some things I like in fics:

 

• Humor - I like witty dialogue and banter, particularly if the humor is in the spirit of canon
• Adventures! Characters getting into all the shenanigans!
• Worldbuilding. Stories that explore any kind of aspects of the setting, or fill in holes that canon hinted at but left open to interpretation. Missing scene fics are great and minor characters getting some love (and acknowledgement!) are also great.
• Exploring character dynamics and relationships. Family fluff and Friendship (blood-related families or families or choice) Bonus points for characters with undying loyalties, parent/child, or sibling-like bonds. Extra bonus points for tales of brotherly love. Mega bonus points for stupid brothers that obviously care about each other but fail at life communication.
• Angst & H/C – I don’t like whump, but I do like darker or more serious fics, or characters showing a little bit of weakness or alternatively trying their hardest not to show any weakness in front of their closest allies. Basically more on the Comfort side of H/C.
• For Video Game fandoms: Working game mechanics into the story. Characters being aware that they are in a video game type of meta fics. Parodies and Satire are also great!
• Time Travel. There's just a special place in my heart for time travel stories!
• Canon Divergence & What if Character A was actually XYZ all along type of AUs

The Untamed

This series came at me from out of nowhere and two weeks of binge watching later, I am obsessed. I love the world of this show and the many characters and their complex relationships and tangled webs. I haven’t read the novel yet, but I know of most of the differences between the show and novel verse…on a number of things I probably prefer the show’s verse though haha.

Anyway, I love all of the characters, but I especially love the Nie Bros and the role they play in the overall plot despite not being as front and center as some of the other clans and their conflicts. We don’t really get to see a lot of the Nie Brothers as result (thank goodness for Fatal Journey!), so for this fandom, I’d really just love to see more of them. Nie Huaisang driving his brother up a wall with creative excuses for skipping sabre practice! Nie Mingjue defending his brother from bullies/anyone who questions his right to be sect heir! Increasingly hectic attempts to make NHS a proper cultivator! NHS trying to be a good proper sect heir to make his brother proud. Night hunting together! Just all the good brotherly feels please!

Or for Nie Huaisang alone, maybe something in the timeskip where he gathers information? Relying on his brother’s sworn brothers for managing his sect (Real? Real to an extent? A total act? Who knows!) Nie Huaisang & Wei Wuxian friendship because it was cool and good and I’m forever sad if that friendship is gone for good.

Anything and Everything Nie would be really great!

Kamen Rider Zi-O

Ah Zi-O… you beautiful beautiful mess of a series… I feel like Zi-O is a glorious mess of good ideas and terrible execution, but it’s also the first KR show I got into that dragged me into the world of Kamen Rider so I can’t help but love it anyway. Woz’s existence helps.

One of Zi-O’s good ideas was the Bad Future…except what was it actually like? What kind of lives did our heroes live? Was Woz ever really on the resistance’s side? When did Tsukuyomi appear and what was it like for her getting acclimated to this dystopia without any of her memories? Where did the name Tsukuyomi even come from? Did Geiz give it to her? How did Geiz steal the ridewatch from Oma Zi-O? What’s the story there?

I put Tsukuyomi down for all of the requested characters because she is the character that had the most intrigue, starting off as the only sane man of the group and the first to question Sougo’s future role, and then also a huge key to the whole story. What exactly is her family’s role? What other powers could she have? I’d love to see something with Tsukuyomi going from Alpina to the Tsukuyomi we know and love.

Basically, I’d just love to see more of Tsukuyomi and her relationships with the other characters. Lots of interesting things there!

These are the KR series I’ve seen so far: Agito, Faiz, Blade, Kabuto, Den-O, Decade, Fourze, Build, Zi-O. I don’t really mind spoilers for other shows, but any references to them will probably go over my head.

Kamen Rider Den-O

Characters/Pairs:

Momotaros & Urataros & Kintaros & Ryuutaros

Den-O! I…have some mixed feeling on it overall, but I adore the characters so much! The Taros are all so colorful and silly and it gives Den-O a very anime feel. I love the DenLiner family and all the dynamics between the Taros. Momotaros is hotblooded and dumb but cares deeply for his friends. Urataros is a shameless liar and flirt but is also pretty intuitive. Kintaros is steadfast and kind. And Ryuuta is a brat all around but endearingly so.

I just want more Taros adventures. Travelling to the future, past, getting into all sorts of troubles. Coming back to visit Ryotarou. Possession shenanigans. Interactions with Naomi, Hana, and Owner. Some love for Hana in general is always good.

Or maybe someone getting stuck in a time loop because this is a time travel series and there’s always room for time loops!

Trails of Cold Steel

Fandom Specific DNW: Sen IV/Hajimari Spoilers.

Trails is the gift that keeps on giving. I’ve been following this series since FC was released in English nine years ago, and I’m so excited that we’ve almost caught up on all of the releases (Sen IV confirmed, Ao fan translation confirmed, Hajimari not confirmed but pretty likely). Cold Steel can be pretty frustrating at times plot wise but I really love all the characters and world building we get.

And also Bleublanc. He’s been driving our party nuts since SC and not likely to stop anytime soon. And it’s great! (For us, maybe now our party). I welcome any and all Bleublanc shenanigans! Maybe something about that time he stole a Reinford Tank? Or any of his other past mentioned cases? Maybe something from his pov as he prepares for a heist? As long as there is Bleublanc and someone raging against his antics, it would be great!

Or maybe something for the Ironbloods. They’ve been around since CS1 but I never really thought of them much as a group until CS3 and…certain sacrifices made by certain people… I’d love to see more of them as a group. Millium loves Claire and Lechter as siblings and they’re clearly fond of her. Maybe something to show how things got to that point? Osborne bringing a newly awake Millium into their care and them teaching her things? Slowly getting attached? The exact moment where they realize that, no, they absolutely cannot sacrifice her. Millium learning about the world around her would be great.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE!

Wombat

I put Wombat down as my requested character, but really I'm happy to read any Defense Club themed stories. The reason I chose Wom-san though is: Highly Advanced Scientific Technology. I would love to read a fic where Wombat's questionable alien technology comes into play somehow, either to cause problems for the Defense club or just something that makes his life easier. Maybe his translator breaks. Or he creates some sort of new tool for the Battle Lovers to use and it backfires spectacularly because that’s what Highly Advanced Scientific Technology does!

If alien technology shenanigans aren’t really in your interests maybe something with Wombat teaching high school? We can only assume he's doing a decent enough job as Mr. Tawarayama so how does he deal with students and lesson plans and whatever else teachers are supposed to do? On that note we know that at the very least Yumoto, Atsushi, and En are his students. Do they take advantage? Do they help out in any way? Is Wom-san playing favorites?

Or how does he interact with the others in the Defense club in general? He goes from resident nuisance in Season 1 to being affectionately called "Wom-san" by everyone in Season 2 (and also apparently living with Yumoto) and having a tearful train station goodbye in the OVA Basically anything with Wombat would be very loved. He is a good old man!

Yakuza 0

Fandom Specific DNW: I have yet to play Yakuza 5 or 6. This is probably less of a DNW and more of a general request, but please no spoilers beyond Yakuza 4.

Yakuza is a series I’ve known about for a long time and got a really positive first impression from Project x Zone, but I finally played it for the first time a little while back and I’ve fallen in love with this world! I love how it balances being a serious crime drama with the absolute zaniness of the substories and side activities. I especially loved Cabaret Club Czar in Yakuza 0, and would love to see more of Majima interacting with Yuki and the rest of the hostesses. They all had great personalities and stories and I like how the Cabaret Club Czar story progressed in general, and how each girl (and Youda) fit into the club as it expanded. Yuki and Majima also had some great snark with each other.

General request for this fandom is Cabaret Club stuff. Majima and Yuki together or separately. Maybe Yuki taking over once Majima leaves Sotenbori and the other girls supporting her. Or Majima helping her or one of the others out with something. Or them helping him in turn. Maybe he checks in on them after the events of 0 to make sure they’re all still going well. The Sunshine family is great, and after everything Majima went through in 0, it’s nice to see him having some happier times in the club. And Yuki in general is great! Yakuza 0 has so many great moments all around, but the Club Sunshine story arc was definitely a highlight!

Resonance of Fate

I really love Resonance of Fate. I love the setting, the atmosphere, the worldbuilding, the NPCs with changing dialogue, the relationship between the three leads...the actual story is kind of a mess, yes, but the characterization, setting and gameplay more than make up for that in my opinion. The world is so rich and mysterious if you go talking to all of the NPCs and reading the descriptions of items/locations.

I want to read any kind of story about Trio, either focusing on the group as a whole or one or two members of the group. For some specific prompts, maybe something like filling in missing scenes? RoF rarely makes clear how much time has passed between major events, such as Vashyron taking in Zephyr, or Leanne joining the group (that 'a year and a few months later' in the intro has always felt really questionable imo).

Maybe a story of Vasyron and Zephyr learning to get along, or Leanne's transformation from a sheltered girl into a Hunter. Or the characters acknowledging and reacting to things that happen between chapters, like Pater’s death. Or just a general mission fic, either something original or expanding on one of the many sidequests in the game. I honestly just really love the bonds and banter between the Trio so any kind of slice-of-life, missions, adventure, whatever story would be wonderful.
